Uh-oh

Things to not do when you're trying to lose a lot of weight:

  • Drink a lot of gin. Some wine. A bottle or two of beer. A bit more gin.
  • Eat kebab meat and chips at 4am.
  • Eat a double chicken burger and chips for lunch.
  • Miss your run on Sunday because you've not had enough sleep/you have a hangover.

You know what though? I enjoyed every single minute of it. I'm expecting a gain tomorrow at weigh in but, for once, I'm not too upset about it. I had a damn good weekend and I'm not going to beat myself up about it. That was always my problem in the past. I'd slip up and then think 'Oh well that's that then, I might as well give up'. And then I would. I'd give up. Now I allow myself to fail occasionally. I allow myself to eat what I like for one day, drink what I like and dance with ridiculous abandon until 4am.

But then, the next day, I get right back on the Slimming World wagon.

Wow. . . I was not expecting this.

Reading tons of blogs a day, I thought I was going to read about you apologizing for yourself and wallowing in your own sorrows.

YOU ARE AMAZING!

Be you, do what you want, this is your life - no apologizes!

I am bookmarking this as one of my favorites!

Have a great day!

I always think it's not so bad to slip up as long as you have actually enjoyed the calories. I remember when we were younger and went to our gran's for dinner, I always resented that massive slice of chocolate cake she insisted we ate after our meal. I don't actually LIKE chocolate cake and there must have been about 800 calories in one slice. I know my mum felt similarly. It's just empty calories.

You enjoyed every minute of yours so its totally worth it! Good for you for not beating yourself up about it. :)

Jewlia - Thankyou! I always used to beat myself up about little slip ups. These days I think they keep me on track!! x

P - Exactly! As long as I've enjoyed myself then it's ok. I'd be resentful if I ate a piece of cake that I didn't really like. Such wasted calories!! x
